Anne Billeter is the Library Director of the Jackson County Genealogy Library and Library Manager of the Southern Oregon Historical Society Research Library.”

Babies and Wobblers Story Time @ Shady Cove Branch

New Babies and Wobblers in the Library Program Added

Shady Cove, Oregon (January 27, 2014) – Jackson County Library Services is pleased to announce a new combination Babies and Wobblers in the Library storytime program has started on Tuesdays, beginning at 1:30 p.m., at the Shady Cove Branch Library, 22477 Highway 62.

Babies in the Library storytime is for pre-walking babies (0-12 months) accompanied by a caring adult. Siblings are welcome, as are moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, etc. Wobblers, the next step after Babies in the Library, is specialized for babies, ages 12-36 months, who are not quite ready to sit through the preschool storytime. Toddler storytime presents toddlers who enjoy sitting on laps for stories, ages 24-36 months, a special time just for them and their caregiver. Preschool storytime presents stories for children who are pre-kindergarten age.
Eagle Point Branch: Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m.
Shady Cove Branch: Fridays, 10:30 a.m
White City Branch: Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.

Easter Egg Hunt @ Old Eagle Point Jr. High Sports Field

The Eagle Point Community Association will hold its 26th annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 am, Saturday, April 19, 2014, on the sports fields behind the former Junior High School off South Shasta and E. Main Street. Children will hunt for candy, baskets and stuffed animals. Prize baskets are awarded in age divisions (0-2, 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-11, and Special Needs). Parents may hunt with children under 4. The Easter Bunny will attend, and photos may be taken with personal cameras.
Non-service dogs are not permitted at the egg hunt.
For more information, to donate prizes or new/gently loved (clean, no holes, tears or lose parts) stuffed animals, call Bunny Lincoln, 541-944-2446.

Bowling for SMART @ Start Making A Reader Today (SMART) Bowling Fund Raiser

Come out to bowl and help raise funds for SMART! It takes place at Roxy Ann Lanes south of Medford on Hwy 99. We bowl two games, with a short intermission in between. Teams consists of 5 people at a cost of $100 per team ($20 p/person), this includes ball and shoe rental. There will be a raffle as well. Just some of the items up for raffle are gift certificates to the Thrift Store in Eagle Point and two smoked Turkeys provided by The Butcher Shop. We also have sponsorships available – with that they will get mention in the program and if they have a banner we will hang it over the lanes -
$100 – sponsorship only no team
$175 – sponsorship with team
The SMART program helps many youngsters in the Rogue Valley by helping them become excellent readers. Sign up sheet attached.
