The Eagle Point Friends of the Library hosts Terry Pruett, Pacific Bible College instructor, as he presents the history of the King James Bible which is being celebrated for being in print 400 years. The presentation will include the history of earlier translations, including the Latin Vulgate, and the source of conflict that lead to this particular version. The presentation will include English history, amusing anecdotes and give attendees a sense of being part of the bigger picture of history. The presentation will include a short video and power point photos. Also on display is some of Mr. Pruett’s collection of antique Bibles and King James Bible artifacts. There is also a scale model of the Gutenberg Press built by Mr. Pruett with an explanation of its impact on history.

Circus of Screams Haunted House has been in operation since 2007, and our goal has and continues to be to donate profits with local youth groups. In our four years of operation, we have donated over $36,000 to three local groups. We have also collected over 13,000 pounds of food for ACCESS, Inc. and the Maslow Project.
We are located in Eagle Point, Oregon and easily accessible to Medford, Ashland, Phoenix, Talent, Central Point, Jacksonville, White City, Sams Valley, Shady Cove, and Grants Pass. We think we’re worth the trip from Klamath Falls and Roseburg too!

It’s time for St. John Lutheran Church’s Annual Harvest Fest! Join us on Oct 29th for some fun for the whole family! The festivities begin at 2pm with the Harvest Fair–the cost is free, but there will be a Ducks vs. Beavers canned food drive for admission. Activities include a hay ride/maze, pumpkin launcher, caramel apples, Ducks vs Beavers football toss, carnival games, and more!

Then, stay for dinner at 5pm. Main course will be provided, sides are pot-luck style. Donations will be taken to benefit our annual Thanksgiving Baskets for Upper Rogue Families in need.
