Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber 116 Members and GROWING!

The Affordable Care Act:  The Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber is putting together an educational meeting and Q and A led by Randy Pace of Humphrey and Pace and John Wahl from Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon about the impacts small and mid-sized businesses can expect as a result of the Affordable Health Care Act. The information is very important to just about every business in the Upper Rogue. We’re considering having the meeting in early October on a weeknight, and we need feedback FROM YOU about your interest and ability to attend in order to make sure we would have a turnout worth everyone’s time. Please click the link and go to the survey and answer a QUICK couple of questions, we would really appreciate it.

September’s Meeting:   Will be hosted by, and located at Fire District #3 in White City on Agate Rd.. This meeting will be held Monday Sept. 9th at noon, and promises to be one of the BEST. Chamber business will be short that day so we can all enjoy a tour of the facilities. The buzz around this meeting makes me feel like it might be one of the most well attended meetings. You might want to plan on getting there a few minutes early

September After Hour Social:  Our after hours September social will be at Cliff Creek Vineyards, Thursday September 19th 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. I encourage you to mark this on your calendar and grab a group of friends as this will be a fun night… The after hours socials have been great opportunities to create new business partnerships and meet new friends. The weather will be perfect to enjoy the wonderful outdoor setting at Cliff Creek. We’re working on some possible fun transportation to and from, fingers crossed. Patriot Day:   We need some volunteers to help with flag placement and pick-up for Patriots Day. We’ll meet in the Ray’s parking lot Tuesday September 10th at 6 pm and for pick-up 6 pm at Rays on Thursday September 12th… It just takes about 30 minutes of your time but will make you feel good for the rest of the day.

Annual Chamber Awards Dinner: Paradux Media Group along with the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber Present the 2013 Annual Awards Dinner. Tickets are $25 each and 11 x 17 posters will be available at the general meeting on September 9th, so bring your check book for your tickets. Lee and Anne from the Rogue River Lodge have a great menu planned for the evening, you can get a menu preview here. We will be honoring and rewarding the Volunteer of the Year and Business of the Year. We had some great nominees for business of the year, and ballots will be e-mailed out to current members next week, with one vote per membership. The evening and the awards could not happen without the generous support from our sponsors, Paradux Media Group, Alpacas at Lone Ranch, Butte Creek Mill, Sundance Signs and Valley Feed and Pet. Membership Drive: We currently have a record 116 Members! We are looking to grow that number even MORE. July through October we will begin our Membership drive, and the business that is responsible for bringing in the most NEW members will receive a FREE 2014 members ship to the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce. A ‘new’ member is a business that has not been a member of the Eagle Point Upper Rogue Chamber for at least 2 years.

Create NEW Habits:   Look to create new shopping habits. Take the time to stop in and support our wonderful local brick and mortar businesses. It shouldn’t be a contest of how much you can buy at one store, but look at taking a few extra minutes to shop at the specialty shops in the Upper Rogue…

Join the social information highway and ‘Like’ us on Facebook…Socializing and educating with over 1,300 people that ‘like’ the page. Just another tool that the Chamber is using to promote the Upper Rogue and buying local.
